The History and Evolution of UPMSP: How the UP Board Became the World's Largest Examining Body!
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP),
commonly known as the UP Board, is a cornerstone of the Indian education
system. Headquartered in the historic city of Prayagraj, it holds the
distinction of being the largest examining body in the world in terms of
student volume.
With over a century of legacy, the board has transitioned
from a colonial-era institution to a digital-first powerhouse, recently making
headlines with its "High-Tech Marksheet 2026."

oversees executive functions.

millions of students. Its key responsibilities include:

75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Exams: Executing the High School and Intermediate exams with
military-grade precision.

a record of early declarations to assist students in timely college
admissions.
