The Indian film industry has been plunged into a state of profound mourning following the sudden and tragic demise of RB Choudary, the visionary founder of Super Good Films. The veteran producer, who was 76, passed away in a fatal road accident in Rajasthan on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

The Tragic Incident in Rajasthan

The accident occurred near Jhoontha village on the National Highway in Rajasthan's Beawar district. Choudary was returning from a relative's wedding in Lilamba village with his nephew when the vehicle suddenly went out of control due to cattle straying onto the road.

The car crashed into a roadside wall with such force that the veteran producer died on the spot. His driver, Gautam Seervi, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Jodhpur for treatment.

A Legacy of "Super Good" Cinema

RB Choudary was a titan of South Indian cinema, known for bankrolling over 100 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Under his iconic Super Good Films banner, established in 1988, he became synonymous with wholesome, family-oriented blockbusters.
