Important Information for Students After Results

  • Provisional vs. Original Marksheets: The online download is a provisional marksheet. The original, physical marksheets must be collected from the respective schools usually within 10–15 days of the online announcement.

  • Passing Criteria: Students must score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject (for theory only, or theory + practicals combined) to clear the exams. For vocational subjects, the criteria may vary slightly.

  • Re-totalling and Revaluation: Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-totalling or a complete revaluation. TNDGE will announce the application timeline and fees immediately after the results.

  • Supplementary Exams: For students who were unable to clear one or more subjects, the Board offers supplementary (or compartment) exams. These are typically held in June or July, allowing students a chance to pass in the same academic year.

Previous Year (2024) Passing Trends

  • Overall Pass Percentage: 94.56%

  • Girls Pass Percentage: 96.44%

  • Boys Pass Percentage: 92.37%

The Tamil Nadu board results traditionally showcase a high pass percentage, and the expectations are positive for the Class of 2026.
