Maa Mahagauri, the eighth among the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga, is revered during the auspicious festival of Navaratri.

She is typically shown with four arms. Her upper right hand is in the Abhaya Mudra, bestowing fearlessness and protection upon her devotees. In her lower right hand, she holds a trident, symbolizing the destruction of negativity and ignorance. Her upper left hand often carries a damaru, a small drum representing the rhythm of creation and the passage of time. With her lower left hand, she offers blessings and bestows boons.
